Just listened to all 3 of the cross border blogs. Very helpful thanks. One little issue I have is the mention of 126.7 as the common frequency in uncontrolled areas. I know this is published and you're not wrong but I've flown for a living on the west coast for 41 years and I can tell you that the common frequency used from Vancouver to Prince Rupert is 123.2. Although most US aircraft travelling the coast on a regular basis know this and make position reports on 123.2, some don't. As you can imagine this creates a bit of a collision hazard, especially in poor weather down low. I'm not sure what the answer is but Just thought you should know.

Hi Gord,

You are 100% correct and I was struggling with how many details to put in to the podcast. While I use some West Coast examples I am trying to make the content applicable to the entire country. Absoloutley yes every region will have its own local practices and frequencies. I am always on 123.2 when going up the coast. I suppose what it comes down to is in the interest of time in an episode that was going long if I had to pick one frequency then 126.7 was it as it applies to the majority of the country as default.

If the opportunity presents itself I'll try and do an episode on radio frequency choices, as there are some nuances in the States as well that many Canadians don't know.

Thanks for your feedback! It is greatly appreciated.
